With the holidays right around the corner, the spirit of giving and caring seems to go hand in hand. December 1st is World AIDS Day and in the spirit of helping to raise awareness, IHG’s World Class Beverage Program just announced the “Project Red Promotion” to help raise awareness and funds to combat AIDS in Africa.
The World Class Beverage Programs partners with many stellar beverage brands and Treasury Wine Estates and Moët Hennessy have joined forces to create the Project Red Promotion. Treasury Wine Estates portfolio includes Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz and Moët Hennessy’s includes Belvedere Vodka. Both of these products are proud to be a part of the WCBP.
All InterContinental, Hotel Indigo and Crowne Plaza hotels will launch this promotion on December 1st, 2011, which is World AIDS Day. Everyone can make difference by doing what they do every day. Every customer that purchases one glass of wine or a cocktail can help make a difference too! The promotion will launch on December 1st and run through February 28, 2012. Hotels are welcome to continue with the promotion and donations will continue to be generated but the staff incentive will close at the end of February.
(PRODUCT)REDTM was founded by U2 frontman and activist Bono to engage everyone in raising awareness and funds to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. Today, there are 33 million people in the world with HIV. Of those suffering, 67% (22 million) call Africa home. And each day, 3,600 of these people die. The goal is that by 2015 we can have a world where no child is born with HIV. Eliminate AIDS in Africa. A portion of the profit made by the sale of these products (Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz and Bevedere Vodka) goes towards Project Red.

This is a fantastic promotion! Everyone should feel good about buying a glass of wine or a cocktail!
